Tips for the FCE English Exam Describing Photographs
Tips for the FCE English Exam Describing Photographs One of ESOLs most challenging sections for students in the oral exam is the photograph section.Lets look at one together now.In this part of the test you have to speak for 1 minute without interruption. The examiner will give you two colour photographs and you have to compare and contrast them as well as talking about your reaction to them. Your partner will get a different set of photographs and has to do the same thing. When each of you has finished speaking, the other will be invited to comment on the topic of the photographs (for about 20 seconds).Have a look at the two photographs below which show people making music in different ways. Try to think of things you could say to compare them. In this example, the examiner asked the following question: âWhy do you think the music is important to the different groups of people?âHow would you compare these two photographs? These two photographs aresimilar.alikecomparableanalogousparallelThey both show people enjoying themselves with music. They both display people making music together. How Would You Contrast These Two PhotographsThese photographs aredifferentdissimilar.divergentThese photographs display people from different cultures playing music. The music played in the first photograph appears to be tribal while the second photograph is more likely to be classical music or jazz. Why do you think the music is important to the different groups of people?Music allows both sets of people to express themselves as individuals and as part of a group. It also enables both groups to spend time with people of similar interests.Music encourages both groups to engage with the cultural environment of their respective societies.Contact us to take FCE preparation classes.Did you find this blog helpful? LSAT Tip of the Week Its All About the Bubble
LSAT Tip of the Week It's All About the Bubble LSAT Law School Blog The LSAT is famous for its tight timing. Check out this timer by Alpha Score to practice your timing. Surprisingly enough, the way you bubble your answers on the LSAT holds some importance. You have to use every second to your advantage. Although it may seem counterintuitive, bubbling in bulk will actually save you precious time. As you work your way through a section, circle your answers in the test packet itself. When you reach the end of a page, turn to your answer sheet and fill in answers for that page in bulk. This way you are not wasting time moving between the test booklet and your answer sheet. Of course, you have to be very careful to pay attention to which bubble you are filling in and if it correspond to the answer you circled. When you have about five minutes left, start bubbling answers one at a time, even the questions you are skipping. If you skip a question, make note of it by making a light dash mark by the number, but fill in a bubble regardless. This is just in ca se you run out of time before you have time to go back and address it. A total guess is always better than a blank!

Where on earth should I teach English abroad [With free TEFL country comparison chart]
Where on earth should I teach English abroad [With free TEFL country comparison chart] TEFL country comparison chart One of the trickiest parts of moving abroad to teach is figuring out where you should actually go. (Been there, done the excessive amounts of paperwork...and fallen into our fair share of internet rabbit holes along the way). At Teach Away, there isnât a day that goes by without someone asking one of us what the requirements for teaching English abroad are and where the best place to go is. But the fact is, thereâs just no one quick answer and no one-size-fits all ESL destination. It really varies from country to country and person to person, especially when it comes to factors out of your control, like visa regulations, education and experience requirements, age and nationality limits...the list goes on. So, if youâre not sure where you want to teach abroad, our chart below is a great place to start. At a glance, you can see which countries pay the most, what the average salary for an ESL teacher is overseas, what the visa situation looks like, who your students are likely to be, the average contract length, education requirements and information about common perks like housing and flights. So have a look - maybe you know all about South Korea but never considered options like Bolivia or Costa Rica. But before you scroll any further...read this You just want to get out there and travel the world, amirite? Our advice is to buckle down, get your TEFL certificate out of the way and move to the next action point on the list. (And yes, you should get TEFL certified before you teach abroad!) But keep this in mind while youâre TEFL shopping - most countries hiring ESL teachers want to see a 120-hour TEFL on your application (either online or in-person will do). If youâre planning on investing in a TEFL course (and we suggest you think of it as an investment - this is your future weâre talking about ) you might as well choose one that meets the minimum requirements for most countries. In short, we like to think of a 120-hour TEFL course as your passport to teaching English practically anywhere in the world. Now, onto the good stuff - our humongous beast of a chart. Building a connection with your international students
Building a connection with your international students As foreigner teaching abroad, you might be worried your students have a hard time relating to you. However, the opposite is almost always true - theyâre curious and keen to get to know you. Making yourself available and approachable will allow you to forge a stronger connection with your classes. There are a few techniques you can use to achieve this.1. Make yourself approachableAs a new teacher from a different country, your students may not initially feel they can talk to you, particularly if theyâre shy when it comes to speaking English. However, if youâre working in a middle or high school, it can be really beneficial to both you and your students to invite them them to come and talk to you at anytime about anything. Dedicate some time in your week to students. Be welcoming and understanding. You could recommend your pupils make an appointment with you, or simply display some available hours on your office door, if you have one.2. Catch up with classSpend a few minutes ever y morning, or at the start of each class, catching up with your students. How are they feeling today? What have they been doing outside of school? Do they have any interesting news? Encourage them to share their lives with you and talk to them about what youâve been up to as well. What are your hobbies? What local sights have you visited recently or customs have you taken part in? Share your perspectives on life in their country. Not only will you learn more about their lifestyles and their personalities, theyâll also get a valuable insight into how you think and that understand that their teacher is human too! This helps get students engaged with you and settle into their lesson.3. Get involvedItâs a requirement of many international schools for teachers to take part in extra-curricular activities. If there is an opportunity to do so, offer to run a class or group. Whether itâs sports, music or art, engaging in a fun activity with your students is a fantastic way to gain a better understand them and the way they think, as well as gain their respect and trust. It lends the chance to relax and bond in the school environment.
Human Life is an Unceasing Sequence of Single Actions
Human Life is an Unceasing Sequence of Single Actions Ludwing von Mises (1881-1973) is one of the most notable economists of the twentieth century and the foremost economist of the Austrian school of economics. Mises demonstrated that free markets, the division of labor, and private capital investment is the only possible path to the prosperity of the human race. He also showed that government intervention, in addition to hampering and crippling the market, would prove counter-productive leading inevitably to socialism. In his masterpiece Human Action Mises writes: Human life is an unceasing sequence of single actions. Acting man is eager to achieve more satisfactory state of affairs than provided by the status quo . His mind imagines conditions which suit him better, and his action aims at bringing about this desired state. With each action human climb one step on the latter of achievements; never to cease; never to yield. In case youre interested in economics I encourage you to climb that next step and become educated about economics; perhaps even with the help of one the 3000 economics tutors at Tutorz.com.
A Chemistry 101 Online Tutor is a Must
A Chemistry 101 Online Tutor is a MustA Chemistry 101 online tutor is going to be an essential thing for your success when taking and studying a course like this. A tutor will help you get the most out of the course and will be able to cover the material that you may not have had time to study before. In addition, he or she will make sure that you follow through with what you have been asked to do.If you are wondering how to find a good online tutor, there are several things that you should keep in mind. This includes what type of student you are and what you will be doing with the course. A course like this will have requirements that will be different from one that is being taught at a university.First, you need to consider if you want to pursue a full-time program or an online program. You can certainly achieve the same degree and then go on to a four-year college and major in this course. This is not the best idea, however, because there are so many more opportunities for student s in the online world. This is especially true in a field like this.If you are planning on an online program, you need to think about where you will go and how you will stay motivated. Do you like to work when you are studying? How much do you work with your tutor? These are just some of the questions that you will need to ask yourself.Another thing to think about when finding an online tutor is whether or not he or she is going to be accredited. Many will tell you that they are not, but this is not true. There are several companies out there that will say that they are accredited, but really, they aren't. One way to be sure is to check with your state's department of education. You also need to take into consideration if you are going to get paid for this course. Online tutors will often charge by the hour, which is fine, but make sure that you know that the teaching fee will be deducted from your final payment. Make sure that you also find out the length of the course as well.Onlin e courses are becoming more popular each day. Make sure that you take your time and that you are going to be able to pay the fee in full.
The Career College in Your Area
The Career College in Your AreaThe UCSD CSET is an online course that is designed to help prepare students to become certified CSETs. It provides a broader understanding of software development and the skills required to develop Web applications. Software professionals who are already familiar with C/C++, Java, MySQL, CGI, XHTML, JavaScript, XML, Visual Basic, or Access can take this online class. However, CSE students should choose to take the CCIE certification exams (first half) in order to earn their final certification. In addition to classes in the classroom, students can use the CSET to meet online with fellow students from the online community. They will also receive an email newsletter, review materials, and weekly updates. You can also access the online course anytime you want. You will not have to enroll in classes or make a payment to attend. There are no obligations when it comes to taking online classes or taking online exams, but there are some things you need to keep i n mind if you want to succeed. There are two ways you can study for the UCSD CSE exam, which are the first-half program and the second-half program. You can decide which method works best for you, depending on your schedule. For the first-half program, you must register for the first half of the exam and work through the first half. The second half can be taken any time you like, which gives you time to review the material and learn more about the exam. For the second-half program, you must register for the second half of the exam and then attend all the online meetings and the next-day exams. There are several factors that may affect the type of CSET tutoring you can receive. You should select a tutor who is certified by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). This means that they are members of the NECA, which gives them additional knowledge about the NECA's standards and policies. You should also ensure that the tutor you choose has sufficient technical knowledge to give you the results you need. Choose a tutor who is experienced in both sides of the classroom. They should know about the exam, how to pass it, and what questions to ask. If you are considering a self-paced learning program, make sure that the tutor has the experience to guide you through the program. A good way to find out this information is to ask about the classroom experience of the instructor. If you want a good school or mentor to help you with your class, look for a Certified Solutions Expert (CSE) certification. You should also make sure that the school has a history of helping people pass the CSE exam. Make sure that your school has an advisor who can answer your questions about the exams, and that the student is getting the help he needs. It is important to consider the quality of the school's offerings and the expertise of the instructors in your search for a school. You should never think that just because the school is located in an area you are familiar with that it w ill help you get the CSE certification you need.
